Those Ducks are Scary Business

My parents, Russ, and I took Campbell to feed the ducks at the lakes in my parents' neighborhood this afternoon. As much effort as she puts into chasing our cats around the house in hopes of touching them, we thought she would love the ducks. She was, however, terrified of the ducks at first. I'm not sure if it's a phase she is in or if she is going to be cautious about things by nature, but she definitely takes some time to ease into situations lately. She eventually warmed up to the situation (and the ducks!), but stuck pretty close to her beloved MiMi.

A woman of many one word!

Campbell turned 10 months on the 14th of March. That same day she said her first official word. I cannot believe how cute her little voice is.

Please excuse how rough I look in this video. I'm pretty sure I told Russ to try and NOT get me in the video. Oh well, I'm pretty sure my adorable, smiling, TALKING baby makes up for the fact that I just rolled out of bed!




Needless to say, we say "hi" at our house a lot now.

A Musical Prodigy

Russ was hanging out playing the guitar last weekend and Campbell got her first, unofficial guitar lesson. If you know Russ, you know he is more comfortable with a guitar in his hand than without it, so it was with great joy I snapped these precious pictures of Campbell and her daddy (my two very, very favorite subjects).

In the womb she had an intense appreciation for American Idol. I pray she has his musical abilities. Either way, I think I will love these pictures forever.

This afternoon Campbell and I went on a walk with Missy. She took a few toys in her stroller, including her keys. Tonight I noticed this on the counter.


Then I remembered I never posted the pictures of my little mini-driver and her first adventure behind the wheel.


I'm not sure the world, or Campbell's daddy, are ready for her to be driving!
