Waco and a Mini-Horse

We went to Waco a few weeks ago to visit friends and lucked out that it was Macy's 2nd birthday party, complete with a mini-horse. Campbell was thrilled to take a ride. No really she didn't even seem like she knew she was on the horse, but when she is ten and doesn't want to ride a horse, I have the pictures to prove that at 8 months she successfully rode the wild mini-horse!

Remember these girls? It was pretty cute to see the two of them playing together (aka taking each other's toys), playing side-by-side, and taking their first bath together.

I have a dream

I have loved pictures for as long as I can remember (I have a closet full of prints and negatives that I cannot bear to part with it to prove it!). I took a few photography classes in college, got a "fancy" camera, and started taking some pictures for people, mostly engagement pictures...since that's what people were doing then (getting engaged :)

I've never stopped loving pictures or loving taking pictures, but most of my friends got married off and so opportunities became less frequent.

Lately it has seemed like opportunities abound, so here I am.

My dream has always been to actually provide some sort of financial contribution to my family through photography. Okay let's be honest. I want to take pictures for a living. I've started a photography blog as a first step in putting some of my work out there and to provide samples of my work for the individuals that have expressed interest.

Avery & Kate

I took pictures of the McClinton girls a few weeks ago. Avery is full of two year-old energy and three month-old Kate is sweet as can be. We had a good time, although I do have to say that Avery's attention span is all of about 10 seconds. Many M&M bribes were made.

Interestingly enough, I took their parents engagement pictures quite a few (7?) years ago!

Sunday, January 18, 2009, we celebrated the first meeting as a church body in our new place of worship. We are thrilled to witness God's provision, excited at all He has in store as we serve Him together, and relieved to finally have a place to leave Russ's amp after church on Sundays (no more loading up the car on Sunday mornings!).
